On Thursday, August 22, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, along with the State of Florida Gaming Control Commission, served a search warrant at Dreamers, located at 16129 State Road 50 in Clermont. Dreamers is a suspected illegal internet gambling establishment.
Upon entering the business, detectives located approximately 100 machines dedicated to this activity. Investigators dismantled the operation, at which time the devices were seized and removed from the business along with approximately $45,000 in Unites States currency. Three subjects were charged and issued notices to appear for keeping or maintaining an illegal gambling house (FS 849.01).
Detectives with the Leesburg, Clermont, Eustis, and Mt. Dora Police Departments also assisted with the investigation.
