On February 26, 2025, at 10:31 a.m., a victim withdrew cash from a Bank of America on Hanley Road in Tampa. Later, the victim discovered their vehicle had been broken into, and their money was stolen.
HCSO detectives quickly launched an investigation and, with the help of our Real Time Crime Center, identified a suspect vehicle linked to a similar case. Surveillance was conducted, and the vehicle was located near North 15th Street and Fowler Avenue.
On February 27, 2025, a traffic stop was initiated, leading to the arrest of Tshaun Lwayne Earl Hunter, 24, and Keshawne Shamar Jones, 25. They were taken into custody without incident and are facing Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance and Grand Theft charges.
“These arrests send a clear message: if you target innocent people in our community, we will find you and hold you accountable,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This is also a reminder to always lock your car doors and never leave valuables inside. Taking simple precautions can prevent crimes of opportunity.”
