Motorcyclist Shoves Deputy, Barricades Himself In His Apartment, And Then Is Discovered Standing On His Kitchen Island

Jorge was driving around Lakeland on a motorcycle, but he didn’t have a license plate on the bike.

Deputy Lawes noticed this, and pulled Jorge over to ask him why he had no tag.

Jorge said he didn’t need one.

Deputy Lawes told him that the law says that he does indeed need a tag.

And then Jorge took everything to a whole other level—he pushed Lawes in the chest and fled. He ran all the way to his apartment, went inside, locked the door, and then moved a refrigerator, a love seat, and an exercise bike in front of the door.

Lawes invited other PCSO deputies to join him, which they did.

When they entered the apartment, they found Jorge standing on top of the kitchen island.

Jorge was removed from his island and taken to the continent of county lock-up, where he was charged with: battery on a LEO, resisting with violence, resisting without violence, violation of pretrial release, no valid DL, driving without a motorcycle endorsement, and operating a motor vehicle without registration.
