On November 8, 2024, at 8:43 p.m., HCSO‘s Interdiction Criminal Apprehension Team made a traffic stop near Nebraska Avenue and Fowler Avenue in Tampa, where they encountered Aaron Muniz, 45, a known member of the motorcycle club “Thug Riders.”
Through investigative means, deputies found a loaded firearm, a knife, five small bags of cocaine, and metallic knuckles in his vest.
Muniz is a convicted felon with a history of drug-related charges and currently has a suspended license as of October 28, 2024. Muniz briefly resisted arrest but was successfully arrested and taken into custody.
“Our deputies’ attention to detail and quick response have once again removed a dangerous individual, along with illegal drugs, from our community,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Each traffic stop is an opportunity to make our roads and neighborhoods safer.”
