LOST PET SCAM ALERT
Scammers are finding lost pet posts on social media and calling the numbers listed in the posts to tell the owner their pet is at Sebring Animal Hospital (they could claim to be from any vet, however). They then tell the pet owner their pet is in surgery and that money must be paid immediately if they want to save their pet’s life.
If you get a call like this, hang up and look up the number to the veterinarian’s office yourself (do not call the one the scammers give you) and check for yourself if your pet is actually at the office.
