In honor of Deputy Thomas (Tom) Graves, his wife Carol, donated $14,000 to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit to purchase a much needed full-service K9 for the agency.
Mr. Graves started his law enforcement career at Mount Dora PD in 1968 to 1983. He later was hired at LCSO in 1986 as a part-time deputy and later in 1995 transferred to a civilian position working as a Public Safety Officer at the South Substation. In 2001, he became a part-time deputy again until he retired in 2011. Tom later passed in 2015.
