Two Arrests Made In Lake County Resulting In Individual Bonds Of $200,000

On Friday, January 24, 2025, detectives with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau were conducting an investigation in the Leesburg area that led them to the residence of 933 Main Street Leesburg, Lake County, Florida. Detectives from the Mount Dora, Eustis, Leesburg, and Clermont Police departments assisted with the investigation. During the investigation, detectives encountered two individuals who were identified as Robert Riley W/M, DOB: 05/14/1967, and Rakesh L. Holiday B/M, DOB: 09/06/1997. During the encounter, detectives seized approximately 9oz of methamphetamine, which has a street value of approximately $1,800. Upon further investigation, detectives developed probable cause for a lawful search warrant at a storage unit. Upon execution of the search warrant, detectives seized approximately 9oz of cocaine, which has a street value of approximately $9,000. As a result of this investigation, Robert Riley and Rakesh Holiday were arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine over 200 grams but less than 400 grams.  Robert Riley and Rakesh Holiday were given no bond until they appeared before a judge during their first appearance the following morning. During their first appearance, the judge gave them each a bond of $200,000.
