Last week, students from the South Florida State College Minimum Standards Fire class visited HCFR’s Special Operations team members at Station 19 as part of their Hazardous Materials training for the class.
Crew members showed students various types of hazard mitigation as well as proper decontamination techniques.
Students going through Minimum Standards training must complete 24 hours of Hazardous Material training and be trained to the HazMat Operations level to be certified as a firefighter in Florida.
Fire Rescue was happy to host these students as they continue their educational path!
