Sebring Man Convicted of Second-Degree Murder

On December 1, 2020, Johntravious Perry was at the All-American Car Wash located in Avon Park for a friendly game of egg throwing when an argument broke out between him and the victim. Perry was captured by video surveillance pulling out a firearm from his hoodie pocket aiming it at the victim’s head and pulling the trigger. Perry quickly jumped into his vehicle and fled the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased on December 2nd, 2020. Recently, Perry was convicted by a Highlands County Jury of Second-Degree Murder with a Firearm. He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 6th. State Attorney Brian Haas thanks Assistant State Attorney Norda Swaby and the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office for their work on this case.
