Work will begin on a significant upgrade to the South Lake Howard Drive East corridor from Avenue D SW to 15th Street SW. This project will create safe pedestrian facilities where none exist today. This project will also include important drainage improvements and resurfacing of the roadway to enhance drivability. In addition, landscape enhancements will be made to improve the overall aesthetics of the area. These improvements will transform the corridor into a safer, more beautiful, and functional space for everyone

Project limits are Avenue D SW to 15th Street SW. Please see area map attached.
When will work occur?
The work is scheduled to begin July 29, 2024. Road closures are not anticipated with this project, however intermittent lane closures may occur. Flaggers will be on site for any lane closures. Please obey signs and speed limits, and be alert to construction zones.
