New Roadway Project Tailored to Support Rapidly Expanding Community Growth

Osceola County, Florida – Osceola County, in collaboration with the Tavistock Development Company, is set to begin the latest in a series of Cyrils Drive roadway improvements, marking a significant milestone in enhancing local infrastructure.

Valued at approximately $29.8 million, this project focuses on widening Cyrils Drive into a four-lane thoroughfare from east of Narcoossee Road to Absher Road. Notably, the construction is primarily funded by development fees, underscoring a commitment to sustainable growth. Long-term plans have Cyrils Drive connecting to the Sunbridge Parkway with access to the Beachline (S.R. 528).

Scheduled to commence in May, with completion anticipated by summer 2026, the effort is part of the planned roadway enhancements to accommodate the growing Sunbridge community development. In addition to two new travel lanes, this project includes a sidewalk, a 12-foot-wide multiuse recreational trail for pedestrians and cyclists, renewed landscaping in the median and along the roadway, and extensive gutter and drainage modifications. In addition, traffic signalization will be added to the Zuni Drive intersection.
