Operation Southern Slowdown recently wrapped up. Our deputies took part, along with law enforcement from the rest of the state, as well as Georgia, South Carolina.
This initiative is aimed at reducing the high number of speed-related fatality and serious injury crashes by targeting speeding and aggressive drivers on our roadways.
The operation, which was conducted from July 15-20 resulted in the following results for our agency:
