MINNEOLA — Lake Minneola High School proudly announces the selection of Gannon Johnson to the 2024 USA Lacrosse All-Academic Team and the 2024 Florida State Lacrosse Coaches Association (FSLCA) All State Lacrosse Team. These prestigious honors recognize Johnson’s outstanding performance and significant contributions to the Lake Minneola Hawks boys lacrosse team during an exceptional junior season.
Gannon Johnson played a pivotal role for the Hawks, who finished the season with an impressive record of 11 wins and 5 losses. Showcasing their strength throughout the season, the team earned a place in their district championship tournament, where they finished 2nd place in the district after being defeated in the championship game by West Orange High School.
Johnson’s remarkable statistics from this season include 50 goals and 45 assists, culminating in a total of 95 points over just 16 games. His exceptional performance not only led his team on the field but also etched his name into the school’s record books. Johnson concluded his junior year as Lake Minneola High School’s career leader in points with an impressive tally of 123 goals, 135 assists, and a total of 258 career points. Gannon was able to achieve these athletic achievements while maintaining a 4.23 GPA.
“Gannon’s selections to the 2024 USA Lacrosse All-Academic Team and the 2024 FSLCA All State Lacrosse Team are well-deserved recognitions of his talent and dedication on and off the field,” said Kyle Johnson, head coach of the Lake Minneola Hawks. “His competitive spirit and skill were instrumental in our team’s success in the 2024 season, and he continues to set an outstanding example for his teammates and future Hawks.”
