Highlands County Board Of Commissioners thanks Congressman Scott Franklin and his staff for stopping by the Highlands County Emergency Operations Center this afternoon.
Emergency Manager Corey Amundsen was able to share with Congressman Franklin our ongoing recovery efforts. He also highlighted all the damage information staff have gathered for our recovery dashboard, which was created by our Planning Section Chief Carley Fitzgerald, who is also our GIS manager.
Operations and Logistics Sections Chiefs Dustin Fitch and Brett Hogan, both of whom are Highlands County Fire Rescue deputy chiefs, then took Congressman Franklin over to the Sebring POD location so he and his staff could see how everything was going.
The visit was a good lift to our spirits here at the EOC and we are grateful for the Congressman’s words of support and encouragement.
