Gary Jowers Enters A Plea Of Guilty To Multiple Charges

On Oct. 23, 2024, Gary Jowers entered a plea of guilty to second-degree attempted homicide and an illegal firing of a weapon. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 5 years of probation.

WANTED | Gary Ralph Jowers Jr., 34, is a wanted fugitive with an active warrant for attempted second-degree murder (as well as several related charges) in connection with a shooting that took place Sunday night on Lake Sebring Drive that left a woman with serious injuries.

He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Jowers is 5-foot-10, 175 pounds and was last seen driving a white 1999 Ford F-350 pickup as he fled the scene of the shooting, which happened around 6:40 p.m. Jowers was wearing camouflage pants, a camouflage jacket with no shirt underneath, and dark boots. The truck was later found abandoned in Hardee County.
