In total, the TAC Team made two arrests for drug trafficking, two for drug possession, and one for a DUI.

The first trafficking arrest of the night happened shortly after 9 p.m. when the TAC Team saw 39-year-old Jessica Denise Addison riding a bike without proper lights. While she was being given a warning about the dangers of riding a bike at night without lights, K-9 Goose alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics on Addison.

Deputies found a meth pipe and 16 grams of methamphetamine in Addison’s bra. She was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.

The second trafficking arrest was of 25-year-old Cristoval Gonzales of Frostproof, who also had a Polk County warrant for armed robbery. Deputies found 77.2 grams of methamphetamine in his pockets and a loaded pistol in the car he was driving when he tried to flee from deputies.

Gonzales was charged with armed trafficking in methamphetamine, aggravated fleeing with property damage, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of a weapon with an altered serial number, driving with a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

His passenger, 29-year-old Jose Christian Gutierrez, was also arrested after cocaine was found in his possession. He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug equipment and resisting arrest.

The TAC Team also arrested:

39-year-old Cecilia Ann Byrd for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia after seeing her running a stop sign while riding her bike just before 6 p.m. and K-9 Goose alerting to the presence of narcotics.

Esteban Mercado, 69, for DUI after he was pulled over for speeding on U.S. 27 just after 8 p.m.
