POLK COUNTY, Fla. — As a community outreach tool and helping hand to those in and around Polk County recovering from Hurricane Milton, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ Florida Licensing On Wheels (FLOW) mobile unit is offering fast, convenient driver license services now through Friday, October 25.
This mobile unit is parked behind the W.H. Stuart Center, located at 1702 S. Holland Parkway, south of Bartow. It operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, including Saturday and Sunday.
Polk County Tax Collector Joe G. Tedder expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am grateful to the State for extending services to those most in need and am excited that customers can have this option to do things like renew a driver’s license without having to trek into a Tax Collector Service Center when wait times may be extended.”
Aboard the FLOW bus, citizens can:
- Replace or renew a driver license or ID card
- Replace or renew registration for a motor vehicle, vessel, or mobile home
- Update automobile insurance information to clear existing sanctions
- View pending citations on a customer’s record
- Update Emergency Contact Information (ECI)
- Monitor a minor child, to receive notifications of any changes to the child’s license or driver status, or withdraw parental consent
- Change address
FLOW is a State program by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and is designed to serve the public in designated Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) locations. To search for hosting locations, visit http://flhsmv.gov and click ‘FLOW schedule.’
