Don’t miss your chance to check out the “Quickest outboard powered drag boats in the U.S.” as they race across Lake June-in-Winter as part of the Southern Outlaw Dragboat Association’s (SODA) Fall Nationals event in Lake Placid, FL on Sept. 7-8, 2024!
Watch outboard drag racing boats run down the 800ft course in speeds in excess of 100mph!
Racing starts at 11:00AM Saturday & 12:00PM Sunday.
Boats will be launching from Lake June Park Boat Ramp and course will be laid out off shore from the park’s beachfront.
For spectators: Enjoy food trucks, shop local vendors, enjoy the best course views, and walk the pit to meet drivers and get an up close look at these impressive vessels all at Lake June Park on the Southside of Lake June’s Eastern Cove (901 N Tangerine Dr, Lake Placid, FL 33852). If you want to avoid the crowds but still catch the action, the course can be seen from H.L. Bishop Park on the Northside of Lake June’s Eastern Cove (10 Lake June Clubhouse Rd., Lake Placid, Fl 33852).
