Curfew Lifted: Safety Reminders and Damage Reporting for Osceola County Residents

Our curfew lifted at 10:30 a.m., and there were no arrests overnight for broken curfew and no reported rescues overnight. Teams from our Road and Bridge Department are back to normal operations after clearing some pockets of debris that were blocking the road.

Residents have begun returning home from our shelters.

We want to remind residents to prioritize safety. All downed power lines should be treated as energized and dangerous. If you encounter any, do not approach them; report immediately to

👉Kissimmee Utility Authority at 407-933-9800

👉OUC – The Reliable One by texting OUT to 69682 or at 407-423-9018

👉Duke Energy by text it OUT to 57801, calling at 800-228-8485, or using the company’s mobile app.

As people check their homes for damage, they should remember to:

🔸Check the roof for missing shingles or structural damage.

🔸Look for water leaks on the ceiling.

🔸Check for any damaged windows or doors

🔸When making repairs, do not hire unlicensed contractors. Residents who are concerned that a contractor may be operating without a license should contact the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation at 1-866-532-1440 or fill out the form located at http://www.myfloridalicense.com/dbpr/reg/ula.html.

🔸To report damage to property, residents should contact the Osceola County Property Appraiser either via email at irmadamage@property-appraiser.org or by phone at 407-742-5000.
