Deven and Tasha were staying at a hotel in Davenport.
The hotel, like many hotels, has some rules to follow. One of which is, “Do Not Drive on the Grass.” A pretty simple rule. For most people anyway.
Not Deven and Tasha though.
They reportedly often drove reckless through the parking lot and on the grass, The hotel wanted them to leave, Deven and Tasha caused a disturbance, so hotel staff called the law.
When PCSO deputies arrived, they met Deven first. Deputies noted that Deven appeared intoxicated, which might explain why he invited them into their hotel room, despite their illegal drugs laying about.
Tasha immediately proclaimed that all of the drugs in the room belonged to Deven…except for the drugs in the ibuprofen bottle…those, she said, were hers.
Deputies found marijuana, cocaine, Xanax, ecstasy, and a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, plus a variety of drug paraphernalia.
Deven and Tasha were both arrested and taken from their hotel room, and then welcomed as guests at Grady Judd’s Bed & Breakfast. No mints on the pillows there for them, but we did give them plenty of felonies.
The dog and cat that were in the hotel room were not arrested, but they were taken to Grady Judd’s Canine & Kitty Club for safe keeping. Pretty sure the dog and cat didn’t own any of the drugs. The cat may have had a bit of a catnip habit though.
