On February 26, 2025, at 12:10 a.m., HCSO‘s Aviation Section assisted District 2 deputies in locating a suspect wanted for Domestic Violence Battery. Our pilots tracked the suspect’s movements outside a residence on Pine Street in Seffner, watching as he briefly ducked near a truck before heading back inside the home.
The suspect came out of the residence with his hands up and deputies swiftly moved in and took him into custody without incident. A search of the area where he had been hiding also revealed a firearm.
“Our Aviation Section’s technology gives deputies the advantage of seeing what suspects try to hide. In this case, their keen eye from above helped safely take a wanted individual into custody and recover a hidden firearm,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This is yet another great example of teamwork keeping our community safe.”
