Sheriff Marcos R. Lopez and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office are warning the community about a jury duty scam. Scammers are falsely claiming that you missed jury duty and must pay a fine immediately to avoid arrest. To sound more official, they are using the names of current command staff and spoofing phone numbers to appear legitimate.
We want to make it clear: The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office will NEVER call you demanding payment or threatening arrest for missing jury duty. If you receive a suspicious call, do not engage—hang up and report it to us at 407-348-2222.
