A tire store in Lakeland was burgled early one morning.
The suspect scaled a fence and stole thirty tires and tire installation tools and threw it all into the back of a Ford van.
The PCSO’s Real Time Crime Center worked their crime-fighting magic and compiled a short list of possible suspect vehicles, and provided that information to the deputies working the case.
Deputies took a closer look at one particular van—it was registered to a man named Jam. They went to Jam’s residence, but the van wasn’t there.
As deputies were driving nearby, they saw the van parked behind a business. It was a tire business.
The deputies stopped and took a closer look and noticed a stack of tires in the back of the van. In the front of the van were the missing tools, plus gloves, a face mask, and head lamp.
Suddenly, Jam took off running from the property, went across the street, and ran into a bowling alley.
The deputies pursued Jam into the bowling alley and found their suspect hiding in the men’s room.
Jam confessed to the burglary and theft of $3,500 worth of property. He was taken to Grady Judd’s Bed & Breakfast and charged with: Burglary, Grand Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Resisting.
Breakfast is served…with Jam.
