Get ready to go back to school in style! The Avon Park community is invited to a special Back to School Bash and Backpack Giveaway on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MLK Sports Complex, located at 207 E. State St., Avon Park.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for students to receive free backpacks and school supplies. Additionally, there will be free food and games for all attendees, making this day a fun and resource-filled celebration to prepare students for the new school year.
The event is presented by several community organizations, including the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office COPS ADAPT Unit, Southside Community Resource Center, JREAM Foundation, and Highlands County NAACP.
