Double-Bogey Duo: Golf Gear Theft Lands Davenport Men in Grady Judd’s ‘Bed & Breakfast’

Monty and Josh are a couple of dudes from Davenport who recently won a room at Grady Judd’s Bed & Breakfast.

On the day after Christmas, the two men went to a sports store with stealing on their agenda.

Monty went in and placed two golf clubs inside of a women’s golf bag. He then walked out of the store without anything.

Joshua then picked up the golf bag & clubs and walked out of the store with them without paying for them.

Together, the delinquent duo hopped into a silver sedan and slipped away. A double-bogart, similar to a double-bogey. Both are bad.

Photos of the crime were posted on social media with the hope that someone would know the malevolent males.  In addition to the photos being clear, they were also…interesting. Monty had a strong resemblance to pro wrestling star Paul Bearer and Joshua was wearing a red & black hunting hat with moose antlers. He must have really wanted those golf items.

Upon seeing the post, a parole officer recognized Monty as the brother of one of her parolees, and recognized Joshua as the boyfriend of the parolee’s  daughter. Sounds confusing, but the parole officer was outstanding!

Monty and Josh were both arrested and charged with grand theft. Monty did not identify as female at the county jail, as his theft of a women’s golf bag might have suggested. But we don’t judge.
