Bicycle Dispute Turns Violent: Suspect Arrested

A criminal is off the streets thanks to the dedicated work of our detectives and officers and the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Herbert Watts Jr. was arrested yesterday in connection with a shooting that occurred on January 8, 2025. After an extensive investigation, it was determined that the victim, riding a bicycle, entered the 808 Person Street area and came into contact with the suspect. A verbal altercation ensued, during which the suspect brandished a firearm and shot at the victim.

The following charges have been filed: Attempted 1st Degree Murder (with a firearm) and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
