Webber Athletics Announces Court Dedication and Naming Rights

Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Athletic Department announced Wednesday afternoon that the court inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center will be memorialized as the Jessica Costanzo Court at a ceremony during the Warriors game on Wednesday September, 11th at 7:00 P.M. Costanzo was a volleyball player at Webber who tragically passed away in a car accident in 2014.

Jessica’s Parents, Mark and Marguerite, started the Jessica Costanzo Scholarship Fund in honor of their only daughter. The Scholarship fund allows for graduating seniors from Venice High School in Venice, Florida, where Jessica graduated from, a scholarship to attend Webber International. As of today, the fund has helped more than 28 students attend Webber since it was created.

Costanzo lived a “Life of Purpose”, and she will now be memorialized in the same gym she competed in as a member of the Volleyball team. She was a Defensive Specialist for the Warriors, helping the Warriors to an 18-12 record in her senior season. Starting this season, the Warriors will compete on the Jessica Costanzo Court in the Sabbagh Athletic Center.

Athletic Director Brad Niethammer said “Webber Athletics would like to thank the Costanzo family for their generous donation and their continued support of Warrior Athletics”
