CINCINNATI, Ohio – The UCF men’s golf team finished their second day of the Bearcat Invitational with a team score of 296 in the third round on Tuesday afternoon at the Coldstream Country Club. The Knights fired a 288 (+4) in the first round and a 305 (+21) in the second round to end the tournament with an 889 (+37).
Sophomore Hans Risvaer led the charge for the Black and Gold, firing a six-over-par 219 to end the tournament tied for 36th on the individual leaderboard. Risvaer recorded a 73 (+2) in Tuesday’s final round. During the tournament, Risvaer recorded four birdies on the first day and closed out the invitational with three in the final round.
Lucas Dutartre followed closely behind Risvaer for the Knights, tying for 60th overall on the individual leaderboard. He scored a 70 (-1) with three birdies in the third round, UCF’s only player to record a round under par on the challenging course.
Chase Haygood closed out his showing at the Bearcat Invitational with a six-over-par 77 to finish with a 224 (+11). Jakob Stavang Stubhaug carded a 76 in Tuesday’s round, ending with a 227 (+14).
Marc Keller tallied a 230 (+17) for the tournament with a five over par in the third round.
UCF will return to action in less than two weeks at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic hosted by ECU. The tournament will take place Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 at the Ironwood Golf & Country Club.
