In January, the school resource Vape K9 team successfully identified multiple prohibited substances and items on campus. K9 Samba, trained to detect nicotine and THC, alerted officials to the presence of these substances, leading to the discovery of:
- 2 THC vapes
- THC gummies
- 10 nicotine vapes
- 1 cigar
During searches, additional items were also uncovered in students’ possession, including unauthorized medications, lighters, and a loaded firearm. The incident highlights the ongoing efforts of the school resource team to maintain a safe and drug-free learning environment.
Also in January, the team received an award for their efforts and K9 Samba even got her own interview with a local news station. Awesome work!
