The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) volleyball team went on the road last week for three Sun-Lakes Conference matches. The Lakehawks secured their first conference win of the season over Palm Beach State on Friday afternoon 3-1.

The Lakehawks opened the week of competition at South Florida State with a close, hard-fought match, just falling short in the 3-0 loss.

Lake-Sumter registered their first win in Sun-Lakes Conference play over Palm Beach State College on Friday evening.
Lake-Sumter 2, Indian River State College 3
After their win on Friday, the Lakehawks traveled to Fort Peirce on Saturday morning where they almost edged out a close five-set match.
The Lakehawks move to a 5-4 overall record with a 1-4 record in Sun-Lakes Conference play. Lake-Sumter currently ranks eighth in conference standing after five matches.
