Jeremiah stole a Kia Forte from an auto mechanic shop in the Haven of Winter under the cover of darkness, but forgot to turn on the headlights.
A passing deputy attempted to stop the Kia, but Jeremiah sped away.
Thanks to Jeremiah’s lousy driving and Newton’s Laws of Motion, the Kia went off the road and got stuck in the sand.
Jeremiah leapt from the car and began running away on his feets.
Additional deputies responded to the area to help find the fleet-footed fleeing felon.
Jeremiah went house-to-house trying to convince residents to hide him from deputies, and to let him use their wifi. Jeremiah even handed his cellphone over to a man and asked the man to take a photo of him with the phone.
Eventually, deputies captured Jeremiah and took him to the Polk Pokey.
He was charged with grand theft motor vehicle, fleeing to elude, trespassing, and reckless driving. He was also cited for driving without his headlights on at night.
