The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting on the 3300 block of Maple Mex Street in Wimauma.
On April 12, 2025, at 1:57 a.m., HCSO received a 911 call reporting shots fired in the area.
Deputies arrived and found one adult male deceased. Two other adult male victims had gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital.
Through the preliminary investigation, detectives learned an altercation occurred that led to the shooting.
“Violence has no place in our neighborhoods,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our team is working tirelessly to find out what happened and ensure those responsible are held accountable for this senseless act of violence.”
Once the next of kin has been notified, the Public Affairs Office will release the victim’s information upon request.
