Heart for Winter Haven, a local nonprofit, is driven by a mission to restore broken relationships—those between individuals, their communities, and even with themselves. With a foundation built on compassion, Heart for Winter Haven works tirelessly to mend divisions and foster resilience through programs that address critical needs in housing, financial literacy, job training, and mental health counseling. Through its efforts, the organization envisions a Winter Haven ommunity where stability and hope are within reach for every family and individual
Expanding the Vision: The Center for City and Life Transformation, Elevate
One of Heart for Winter Haven’s most transformative initiatives is the newly launched Center for City and Life Transformation, known as Elevate. This state-of-the-art center has become a hub for change, hosting programs like Faith & Finances and Jobs for Life, each designed to empower participants with knowledge, skills, and confidence to achieve personal and financial stability. With a focus on building life skills and creating supportive networks, Elevate also offers workshops aimed at fostering personal growth and community engagement.
The heartbeat of Elevate lies in its tagline, “where transformation meets community.” Every service and class offered here is a step toward Heart for Winter Haven’s ambitious goal of ending childhood homelessness in the city by 2030. By partnering with local agencies, businesses, and community leaders, Heart for Winter Haven is creating a collaborative movement aimed at restoring lives and empowering future generations.
Upcoming Programs and Center for Well-Being Workshops
The coming months bring a variety of opportunities for the Winter Haven community to get involved with Heart for Winter Haven’s programs at Elevate. Faith & Finances and Jobs for Life are open for enrollment, both offering practical, life-changing guidance for participants. Faith & Finances, for example, helps individuals learn healthy money management principles in an encouraging environment, while Jobs for Life equips people with job-readiness skills and a network of support to help them find sustainable employment.
The Center for Well-Being, an initiative focused on nurturing personal and community wellness through programs that support mental, emotional, and spiritual health, will also host workshops designed to foster holistic health and personal growth. Upcoming topics include Learning Values, which helps participants explore and clarify their core values, and Creating Healthy Boundaries, a workshop aimed at building resilience and fostering strong, respectful relationships. These workshops are open to anyone seeking personal development and can benefit individuals, families, and professionals alike.
