Osceola County is looking for committed and energetic team members to join us on our mission to provide a safe, secure, and humane environment for the public, staff, and those requiring detention or supervision in Osceola County.
Our Corrections Officer Cadet Academy provides full-time wages and benefits while you complete the training, testing, and certification process.
CORRECTIONS OFFICER CADET ACADEMY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years old and a United States Citizen.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass the CJBATCO, Physical Assessment Test (PAT), extensive background check, and psychological and physical examinations.
- Must not have been convicted of any felony or a misdemeanor involving perjury or false statement, regardless of adjudication or suspended sentence.
- Must be able to attend and successfully complete the Corrections Officer Academy.
- Must be able to work all shifts and overtime once becoming a Certified Corrections Officer.
EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS:
Candidates enrolled in the program upon employment with Osceola County as a Corrections Officer Cadet will receive a pay rate of $19.18/hr and $24.04/hr After Passing the State Exam and full benefits, including:
