Osceola County (June 2024) The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office of an incident involving a Law Enforcement Officer soliciting a minor for nude photographs in exchange for payment.
Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit were notified of the incident and began investigating the allegations. Detectives with the ICAC unit met with the victim in this case and obtained a sworn statement and evidence, which led to the identity of the suspect, a Kissimmee Police Department (KPD) Officer, 25-year-old Dariel Javier Quiles-Davila. During the victim interview, it was learned the KPD Officer met the victim in October of 2023 during a call for service. Based on the evidence and disclosures made, the ICAC unit issued several search warrants for the victim and suspect’s social media accounts. Upon review of the social media accounts, Detectives learned Mr. Quiles-Davila did have pornographic photographs of the minor within his social media account, along with evidence of payments and sexual conversations with the minor.
On June 11th, 2024, Mr. Quiles-Davila was interviewed regarding the incident. Based on evidence obtained during this investigation, Mr. Quiles-Davila was charged with 8 counts of Possession of Photo/Video of Sexual Performance by a Child, 1 count of Solicitation of a Minor for Unlawful Sexual Conduct and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. Mr. Quiles-Davila was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail with zero bond.The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to serving our community and increasing public safety.
