Highlands County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team recently completed its recertification with the Florida Law Enforcement Canine Association! Patrol K-9s Gentry (Deputy Ben Jones) and Drax (Deputy Alex Brock) re-certified in apprehension, recall, obedience, tracking and article searches.
K-9 Goose (Deputy Triston Ragoodial), our single-purpose narcotics detection dog, was re-certified in his specialty, and bloodhounds K-9 Hooch (Deputy Jeff Turner), K-9 Waylon (Deputy Tyler Bumby) and K-9 Hank (Deputy Ryan O’Gara) all were successful in their tracking re-certification.
