On November 14, 2024, at 2:24 a.m., HCSO responded to a vehicle burglary call when two suspects struck a deputy’s patrol vehicle while fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle on the 3300 block of Lakeview Drive in Tampa.
HCSO’s Aviation Section located the stolen vehicle and alerted our ground units as the suspects took off on foot. Tampa Police Department’s Aviation Section also assisted ground units as the suspects attempted to evade deputies. Deputies were able to catch and arrest Jesse Gegenheimer, 17, and Ismael Caballero, 17.
“The actions of these suspects were reckless and incredibly dangerous. They put our deputies and the public’s safety at risk,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the teamwork of our law enforcement partners, these individuals are in custody.”
