On November 7, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., HCSO‘s Aviation Section responded to Ed Morse Cadillac Brandon on the 11000 block of Causeway Boulevard to assist deputies in locating a shoplifting suspect.
Utilizing the FLIR Camera System, our Aviation Section observed the suspect jumping a fence on the west side of the property and fleeing into a nearby swamp. With aerial support guiding the way, deputies on the ground quickly located and arrested the suspect.
“Thanks to the quick thinking and teamwork of our deputies and Aviation Section, we were able to arrest a suspect safely and without incident,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This successful operation highlights the dedication and skill of our team in protecting the community here in Hillsborough County.”
