Eustis Police Department Alerts Citizens of Raised Intersections

Please be aware of the new raised intersections which will be opened the morning after the overnight closures.

Intersection closures

Overnight Monday

• 8 p.m. on Monday, October 28, through 7 a.m. Tuesday, October 29: The southbound intersection of S.R. 19 (Bay Street) at East Clifford/Ferran Park Drive will be closed for milling and resurfacing of that intersection).

       Detour information: The detour will be clearly marked with signs. Southbound motorists should take a left on Gottsche Avenue, right on Eustis Street, right on McDonald Avenue and a left back on U.S. 19..

Overnight Tuesday

• 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, through 7 a.m. Wednesday, October 30: The southbound intersection of S.R. 19 (Bay Street) at McDonald Avenue will be closed for milling and resurfacing of that intersection.

       Detour information: The detour will be clearly marked with signs. Southbound motorists should take a left on Clifford Avenue, right on Eustis Street, right on Magnolia Avenue and a left back on U.S. 19.

Overnight Wednesday

• 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, through 7 a.m. Thursday, October 31: The southbound intersection of S.R. 19 (Bay Street) at Magnolia Avenue will be closed for milling and resurfacing of that intersection.

      Detour information: The detour will be clearly marked with signs. Southbound motorists should take a left on McDonald Avenue, right on Eustis Street, right on Orange Avenue and a left back on U.S. 19.

Overnight Thursday

• 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, through 7 a.m. Friday, November 1: The northbound intersection of S.R. 19 (Grove Street) at Magnolia Avenue will be closed for milling and resurfacing of that intersection.

      Detour information: The detour will be clearly marked with signs. Northbound motorists should take a left on Orange Avenue, right on Eustis Street, right on McDonald Avenue and a left back on U.S. 19.

Overnight Sunday

• 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, through 7 a.m. Monday, November 4: The northbound intersection of S.R. 19 (Grove Street) at Gottsche Avenue will be closed for milling and resurfacing of that intersection.

       Detour information: The detour will be clearly marked with signs. Northbound motorists should take a left on Clifford Avenue, right on Eustis Street, right on Hazzard Avenue and a left back on U.S. 19.

         ****PLEASE NOTE: Please remind citizens AND ALL PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICIALS of the raised intersections, which will each be opened the morning after the overnight closure. There are numerous message boards warning drivers of the raised intersections and the need to drive at the posted speed limit.

Lane closures

Overnight

• Sunday, October 27, through Saturday, November 2, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.: Motorists should expect overnight rotating right and left lane closures on northbound and southbound State Road (S.R.) 19, for saw cutting, temporary striping and surveying.

Daytime

• Sunday, October 27, through Saturday, November 2, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists should expect overnight rotating right and left lane closures on northbound and southbound State Road (S.R.) 19, for saw cutting and curb construction.

Also, the contractor will continue driveway entrance reconstruction along Grove Street at times.
