HCSO is committed to keeping students safe here in Hillsborough County. Beginning on November 1, 2024, our new school zone safety enhancement program will launch, “Operation Safe Passage.” Cameras placed in multiple school zones throughout the County will ensure that drivers follow posted speed limits, creating a safer environment for children.
Starting at Riverview High School and expanding throughout the County after that, a 30-day warning period will precede $100 fines starting on December 2, 2024.
