In 2006, PACER Center started a movement to raise awareness about the devastating impact and often long-term effects that bullying can cause in our nation’s youth. The result was the creation of National Bullying Prevention Month. Each October, PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center leads a campaign that unites individuals around the nation and the world with the powerful message that bullying should never be a part of childhood.
Lake County Schools is using National Bullying Prevention Month as an opportunity to prevent bullying by encouraging everyone to act with kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Every child has the right to feel safe and supported.
Lake County students and parents may report bullying/harassment by completing a reporting form at the school or submitting one anonymously online. Each school should have a designated place where the forms are kept. If you have trouble finding the form, please contact your child’s school directly. Once the school receives a form, they will begin an investigation.
