Planned Water Outages

PLANNED WATER OUTAGES

The Town of Lake Placid is replacing the old water main along Interlake Blvd. This is the main feed for most of the Town and as part of the replacement we have to also replace the valves. Most of the work is being done at night to minimize the disruptions to residents, schools and businesses. However, this will still require preparation and inconvenience.

The major outage will occur overnight on Tuesday September 3rd to Wednesday September 4th. This will shut off water for everyone on the west side of US27 from Lake June Rd to Lake Pearl. From 9:00 pm until 5:00am

There will be some localized outages overnight September 4th and 5th as we replace the smaller valves along Interlake Drive. These outages will occur between Dal Hall and Interlake, from Main St to US27.

Please fill some pitchers for drinking water, and a 5-gallon bucket or a bath tub to use to refill the tank on your toilet. When the water is back on in the morning, run your TUB for a couple of minutes with cold water to flush your system well before using any sinks, or showers to prevent the screens from stopping up with any debris that might have gotten into the lines.
