Winter Haven, FL (July 26, 2024) – The Board of Directors of the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Betsy Cleveland, IOM, has been selected to serve as the organization’s President & CEO.
“The chamber conducted a nationwide search and received over 45 applications. We were thrilled that the ideal candidate was someone in Polk County who already knows and loves the Winter Haven community,” stated Nick Plott, Search Committee Chair and Chamber Board Chair-Elect.
Betsy brings a wealth of experience with her to the chamber, having served as the Executive Director of the Haines City Area Chamber of Commerce (now the Northeast Polk Chamber), the Director of Community Services for the Polk County Supervisor of Elections, a Community Liaison Director for the Polk County Public Schools, and as a District Legislative Aide for State Senator JD Alexander.
“I am deeply honored to have been chosen to lead the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce. Polk County has been home my entire life and it is because of my love and connection to my community that I am so very excited to be back in the chamber arena to help support our businesses and community. I’m ready to get to work!”
“We are excited to welcome Betsy to the Chamber’s professional team. We are confident that she will successfully guide the organization to fulfill our ongoing vision to advance commerce and community in Winter Haven,” added Brian Reeves, Chair of the Board.
