Highlands Lakeside Theatre is holding its annual Patriotic Review from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 4, at 356 W. Center Ave.

FREE shows every hour. Food will be sold to raise money for the scholarship fund. For more info, call 863-382-2525.

Sun ‘n Lake of Sebring Community Independence Day Celebration is 7-9 p.m., Monday, July 3, at the Community Center, 3500 Edgewater Drive, in Sebring.

Admission is free. No admission after 8:45 p.m.

Parking opens at 6 p.m. Spaces are limited. Golf cart parking is also available. Parking is free.

Featuring the grand opening of the community’s new playground, food trucks, Touch-a-Truck with Highlands County Fire Rescue, community partner displays, free giveaways & prizes, and the grand finale fireworks at 9 p.m.

Come enjoy the annual Avon Park fireworks display, sponsored by Parkview Pre-K & Prep Academy, starting at 9 p.m., July 4, over Lake Verona in downtown Avon Park.

The Avon Park Chamber of Commerce is facilitating a food drive of non perishables for the Heartland Food Bank, so please bring your items to drop off at Donaldson Park and then enjoy the fireworks display!

Put on by the Lake Placid Jaycees, come enjoy the annual fireworks display in Lake Placid at 9 p.m. July 4, over Lake June-in-Winter.

The fireworks will be launched over the northeast cove of Lake June-in-Winter.

Viewing is available at the following locations:

  • The soccer fields at the end on North Tangerine Drive
  • H.L. Bishop Park
  • By boat on Lake June
