Fetanyl arrest

On the evening of June 6, 2024, around 11:17 PM, our dedicated TAC Officers were patrolling the area near S Semoran Blvd and E Grant Street. During their patrol, they noticed a silver Toyota Corolla with a Florida temporary tag. What caught their attention was that the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt. They made the call to pull the vehicle over for the seat belt violation.

With probable cause established, the officers discovered inside the vehicle a white rectangular pill identified as Alprazolam, a Polymer 80 firearm chambered in .40 S&W caliber with no serial number, a loaded Glock extended magazine, 10 rounds of .380 caliber ammunition, and cash.

The driver was also found to be in possession of 11 grams of Fentanyl, amounting to 118 baggies. The suspect was arrested on multiple charges.

This year we have taken close to 1,500 grams of fentanyl off the streets and made 44 arrests. This is all thanks to our dedicated team of officers patrolling the streets and keeping the City of Orlando – Government safe.
